Marathon Retains Renmark Financial Communications Inc.
June 21, 2006 - Toronto, Ontario: Marathon PGM Corporation ('the Company") (TSXV - MAR) announced today that it has retained Renmark Financial Communications Inc. ("Renmark") to provide strategic investor relations and financial communication services.
Renmark provides strategic communications services to over 60 publicly traded companies. The Company's agreement with Renmark is for an initial term of 12 months, with Renmark providing specified services in return for a monthly fee of $6,000.
Mr. Phillip Walford, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, stated "We are pleased to announce the appointment of Renmark. We believe that Renmark's investor relations strategies will enhance the Company's visibility with retail investors as we move forward with development of the Marathon PGM property."
In other news, the Company is progressing with its 20,000-meter drilling program. Assaying of core obtained to date is underway, and the Company will issue a press release on initial results from the 2006 drilling program shortly.
About the Marathon PGM - Cu Project
The Company has a 100% interest in the Marathon PGM - Cu Project, located about 10km north of Marathon, Ontario. As announced previously, the Company has completed a revised in-pit resource estimate on the property in compliance with the provisions of National Instrument 43-101, showing a total measured and indicated resource of 40 million tonnes and contained metals consisting of 1.8 million ounces pf PGM's and gold and 317 million pounds of copper. This report was completed by P&E Mining Consultants Inc. and was filed on Sedar on March 28, 2006.
