VANCOUVER (CP) -- The company said Wednesday it is now waiting for the environmental permit to operate the mill.
Once the permit has been issued, the company said it will take about six weeks to construct its tailings containment pond, which is the final step before the commissioning of the mill.
The mill at La Yesca has a planned production rate of 200 tons per day, the company said.
It also said Wednesday that drilling of the "Hook" occurrence is ongoing in the James Bay Lowlands project in the area known as "The Ring of Fire".
UC Resources has the right to earn a 55 per cent interest in the east and west blocks currently held by Spider Resources Inc. (SPQ) and KWG Resources Inc. (KWG).
UC Resources share were trading up a half cent to 50 cents on the TSX Venture Exchange Wednesday.
