Gold hits two-week high on weaker dollar, rising oil

MUMBAI: Commodity market punters may have yet another chance to gain from playing the base metals counter. Both copper and aluminium have risen in line with the rally in global equities over the past couple of days. Global equity markets, which had fallen for a week, gained over the past two days on account of strong earnings by Goldman Sachs and chipmaker Intel.

While commodity analysts expect further upside in copper and aluminium on local bourse like MCX, they recommend buying on dips on the back of a likely correction in prices after the two-day spike.
