For the past several weeks, everywhere I looked all I could find was bullish articles. After the fiscal cliff was patched at the last second, prices surged into 2013 and have since climbed higher all the way into late February.

One thing that is clear for oil is that big sellers are still unloading copious amounts of contracts which is keeping the price from moving higher. Oil is trading in a very large range and is trending its way back down the lower reversal zone currently.

The San Francisco Hard Assets Investment Conference is my favorite trade show ever. It was different this year with the exhibitors split between two levels at the Marriott Marquis but the seminars and workshops were phenomenal.

There is never an absence of negative news or potentially poor economic possibilities. This is not to say that markets cannot decline, investors just need to understand that markets are cyclical in nature and do not ever move in a straight line.
